MV Viking Star makes maiden call at Curaçao

On October 26th, 2018 the Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB) had the honor to be present at the inaugural call of the MV Viking Star.

The ship, which is on a 15 day cruise, arrived from St. Lucia, for a whole day visit to Curaçao. Last November, this same cruise line company Viking Ocean Cruises Ltd had two maiden voyages in Curaçao, namely the MV Viking Sky and the MV Viking Sea.

Hon. Minister Kenneth Gijsbertha represented Hon. Minister Steven Martina, and presented the captain of the ship, a commemorative plaque on behalf of the CTB. In his turn, the newly appointed CTB Managing Director, Mr. Paul Pennicook presented the captain with a bottle of the traditional Blue Curaçao Liqueur. Mr. Pennicook, remarked that the Blue Curaçao Liqueur represents a taste of the island of Curaçao.

The ship is scheduled to leave the port at 11:00PM tonight
