Curaçao Promoted as the #1 Dive Destination at the Düsseldorf Boat Show in Germany

Summary

The Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB), together with a number of tourism partners, recently participated in the 50th edition of the International Boat Show in Düsseldorf.

‘Boot 2019’ broke the record with over 2000 exhibitors from 73 different countries, covering an area of over 22 hectares (220,000 m2), the Boot Düsseldorf served as a truly gigantic platform for all participating exhibitors. The event focusing on dive tourism and aquatic activities, once again turned out to be a resounding success.

This year’s show received close to 250,000 visitors from 100 different countries, most hailing from the Netherlands, Belgium, Great Britain, Sweden, Italy and, of course, Germany. Over the course of the nine days, Curaçao’s marine life was showcased and the island was presented as the number-one dive destination for any dive tourist looking for an out-of-the-ordinary experience. The CTB also gave a number of 10-minute presentations, including a video of the new ‘Feel it for Yourself’ campaign. That same week, the CTB organized a dinner at the Tulip Inn for all its co-exhibitors as well as a select group of tour operators.
